Last updated October 23, 2026. NodeDial is run by Styzza LLC. We keep as little as we can.
Callers
NodeDial has no accounts, no ads and no tracking or analytics scripts. Your browser stores a few settings (modem, sound, turbo, scanlines) locally on your device; they never reach us.
When you dial a board, what you type and what the board sends pass through NodeDial's bridge to that board. We don't record or store them. For each call we log when it happened, which board, how long it lasted and how much data passed, without your IP address, so sysops can see how many callers they get. Separately, we keep a security log of each call with your IP address, the board and the time. It's kept for 14 days and then deleted, and it's used only to handle abuse reports from sysops and to block callers who abuse boards. Our web server keeps standard access logs (IP address, time, page requested) for security and troubleshooting, and deletes them on a rolling basis.
The board you call sees your connection as coming from NodeDial's server. Anything you give a board, like a handle or password, is between you and that board; its own policies apply.
Sysops
When you sign up a board, we keep what you send us to run it: your board's name and address, your handle and your email. On Pro, we use that email for downtime alerts and the monthly caller report (reply to stop them). For Pro caller reports, the dialer also tells us how each call went (dialed, connected, or missed because the board was down), the modem the caller picked, whether they're on a phone or a computer, whether the dialer was embedded on another site, and the website that linked to the page (its name only). We record that with no IP address and no cookie or ID, so it's counted, not tracked. We check your board's telnet address every few minutes to show its status light, which appears in your board's logs as a short connection from our server. Payments for Basic and Pro are handled by Stripe and Link, Stripe's checkout service, under their own privacy policies; we never see your full card number. At checkout we ask for your board's name, telnet address and (optionally) your handle, to set the board up. We don't sell or share your information, except as needed to run the service or when the law requires it.
Questions and removal
The sysop dashboard (nodedial.com/sysop) signs you in with a one-time link sent to your board's email. Signing in sets one cookie that keeps you signed in for up to 12 hours; it isn't used for anything else. We keep a record of listing changes made there, so we can undo mistakes.
To show "2 online" and enforce each plan's caller limit, NodeDial counts open connections to each board every 30 seconds. Only the number is kept, never who.
